The Solution: Fortunately for us, the Northern
Indiana customer uses corrosive chemicals to prevent the gravel,
slag and coke from freezing in their silos. The customer called
B & H after these feeders had seen over 30 years of very
corrosive chemicals. We arrived at the facility in disbelief
at the appearance of the Eriez Vibratory Feeders. The first
three vibratory feeders were rusted beyond comprehension,
due to the corrosive chemicals, but were still operating fine.
The customer uses (8) eight Eriez Heavy-Duty Model B Vibratory
Feeders to feed and convey gravel, slag and coke from overhead
hoppers to downstream equipment. The majority of the Eriez
Vibratory Feeders were purchased in 1969. The Eriez Vibratory
Feeders have operated continuously for thirty years - even
in the tough corrosive environment.

The
Result: Although the feeders are still working
fine after all these years, the appearance of the feeders
due to the corrosive chemicals has caused the customer to
request new feeders. Due to the successful history of the
Eriez Vibratory Feeders, the customer has submitted a request
for (8) eight new Eriez Model B Vibratory Feeders. |
