All discharger models are designed to empty FIBC, (Flexible,
Intermediate Bulk Containers), with four pick up points at
the corners (loops), a square base when empty, (round FIBC
will also empty), and weighing up to 4400 lbs. The corner
loops should be 10" double lay flat in length for proper rigging
frame operation.
There are three main considerations when selecting the correct
bulk bag discharger for your application. First, the kind
of bag being discharged; second, the kind of ingredient being
discharged, and third, the nature of the process and its environment,
including such factors as humidity and length of transportation
and storage of the bag prior to discharge.
Control and Metering offers two distinct series of bulk bag
dischargers: the Flo 40 Series and the Flo 60 Series.
The main distinguishing feature between these series is the
hopper design. The Flo 40 Series features an economical, shallow
hopper. The Flo 60 Series has a steep sloped hopper which
maximizes bridge breaking and ingredient flow. The prime factors
in determining which of the discharger series you require
are the type of ingredient and the type of bag to be discharged.
The Flo 40 Series is suitable for non-dusty to moderately
dusty ingredients, easy flowing pellets and granules in outlet
spouted bags. The Flo 60 Series can handle a wide variety
of ingredients and bag styles. The Table below outlines the
main characteristics of the Control and Metering discharging

- Retractor
will aid in complete FIBC emptying, liner cannot extrude
