Metalfab engineers have been involved with the design of bin
activators since the time of their conception to their more
sophisticated present day design. Through years of testing
and innovation, our skilled engineers have developed the Metalfab
Bin Activator, a unique system that eliminates the problems
associated with the design and performance of bin activators.
Metalfab Bin Activators are built to withstand the repetitive
forces of vibration and forces induced by the product load
above them. The unit's true conical shape is efficient for
promoting flow of product with minimum force. This reduction
in force means minimum horse power consumption, which results
in lower operating costs for users. Plus, it adds to the life
of the unit.
The primary baffle is cone shaped to provide maximum motion
to the product. This self-cleaning baffle is supported by
tubular cross members, which provide the required strength
to support product head loads. It gives stiffening strength
which accepts the force produced by the vibrator and also
provides a proper welding surface for securing the baffle.
Metalfab is the only manufacturer of bin activators that has
a secondary adjustable baffle. With other bin activators,
often the force required to activate the product in the bin
is in excess of the force required to discharge product from
the bin activator outlet. When this happens, the product compacts,
jams and flow stops. The Metalfab secondary baffle is suspended
from cross members which support the primary baffle. The lower
section of the suspension member is a threaded rod which allows
the baffle to be adjusted vertically.
Because of the Metalfab suspension system, the secondary baffle
moves at a different amplitude then that of the bin activator
body. Therefore, it creates motion in the product at the outlet
and allows the product to flow freely. In essence, it acts
as a bin activator within a bin activator. |
