Activated Alumina Van Air activated alumina is a porous form of aluminum oxide in the shape of a bead. The large surface area of the activated alumina bead maximizes the adsorption of moisture vapor. Based upon dryer design and operating conditions, dew points of -40° F and lower may be achieved with Van Air activated alumina.

Silica Gel Available in indicating and non-indicating form, Van Air silica gel beads are of uniform size that contain an immense network of inter-connecting microscopic pores. These pores allow for excellent moisture retention through physical adsorption and capillary condensation. Dew points of -40° F and lower may be achieved with silica gel adsorbent desiccant depending on the air dryer design and operating conditions.

Molecular Sieve Van Air molecular sieve adsorbent desiccant is capable of adsorbing water molecules over a much wider range of temperatures than any other desiccant material. Molecular sieve also has a much higher equilibrium capacity for water vapor under very low humidity conditions. Dew points of -100° F and lower may be achieved with molecular sieve adsorbent desiccant depending on the air dryer design and operating conditions.
