HERE'S HOW IT
WORKS
When
the EMD PLUS Series controller reaches the desired compressed
air temperature, the compressor stops.
When the refrigeration compressor is off, the air is cooled
by the latent heat of liquid refrigerant boiling off in
the flooded evaporator - maintaining a consistent dew point.
The flooded evaporator heat exchanger tubes immersed in
liquid refrigerant result in the best heat transfer of any
system at any load condition.
When the refrigerant compressor starts again, a solenoid
valve equalizes pressure on both sides of the refrigeration
compressor. The reduced torque allows unlimited starts and
stops.
A static cooler prevents hot gas from entering the refrigeration
compressor and impairing performance and operating life.
